Clubs & wars

Clubs system, new in 2.0 "Einstein": creating or joining, roles, chat, weekly wars and league.

New in 2.0 "Einstein" (May 2026): the Clubs system is one of the big additions of this release. Persistent teams, live chat, weekly wars and a competitive league with divisions. If you're coming from Mentium 1.0 "Curie", none of this existed before.

What is a Club?

A Club is a persistent team with its own identity (banner + emblem), live chat between members, shared weekly XP counters and wars against other clubs. It's part of the game meta: playing in a club is optional, but it connects you to a competitive league and to the async mode Plaza Mentium with your teammates.

Club types

Public club

Anyone can join without approval. Listed in the search and in the league.

Private club

Entry only via invite code or leader approval. Privacy and control.

Creating a Club

From the Community tab, tap "Create club". You pick a name, banner and emblem (curated catalogue of banners and emblems), type (public or private) and language. Creating a club has a one-time Mentis cost as an anti-spam seal.

Joining an existing Club

  • Public: enter the search, filter by language or category, tap "Join" — instant entry.
  • Private via request: you send a join request that the leader or an officer must approve.
  • Private via code: you enter a 6-character invite code the leader/officer shared with you.

Roles inside a Club

RoleWhoPermissions
Leader The founder (1 per club; transferable) Edit club · promote/demote officers · kick members · approve invitations · declare and accept wars · disband the club
Officer Appointed by the leader (up to 3) Moderate chat · invite friends · approve/decline join requests · respond to war invitations proposed by members
Member Anyone after joining Chat · contribute weekly XP · propose invitations to friends (subject to leader approval)

Club chat

Live, persistent and multilingual chat. Messages are synced via Firestore. Key features:

Pin message

Leader/officers can pin a message at the top of the chat.

Unpin

Release the pinned message to return to the normal view.

Delete message

Moderation: delete inappropriate messages (leader + officers).

Club wars

The competitive side of the system. A club can declare war on another in the same division. Wars are decided by weekly XP accumulated by each club during the battle window (typically 7 days).

How to win a war

  • Both clubs receive the war proposal and the rival leader must accept it.
  • Once accepted, the battle window starts.
  • Every match won by a club member contributes XP to the club's weekly counter.
  • When the window closes, the club with more weekly XP accumulated wins.
  • On a tie, both clubs keep their current division.

Rewards and consequences

  • Winning club: climbs the league (or consolidates division), gets a commemorative banner and a coin/Mentis reward for every member.
  • Losing club: drops a tier in the league (if higher than base; if base it just stays).
  • Cooldown: after a war there's a waiting period before declaring another against the same rival.

Winning club banner

Decorative mark shown on the club's profile after winning a war. Stacks across the season.

Divisions and League

Clubs are distributed across league divisions. Climbing or dropping depends on your war record:

Gold

Entry division.

Diamond

Mid-tier division.

Master

Elite — the most competitive clubs.

Club missions

Every week, collective missions unlock and reward the whole club on completion:

  • Contribute XP

Hit a weekly XP quota across members.

  • Chat messages

Keep social activity in the club chat alive.

  • War wins

Win wars as a club this week.

  • Send gifts

Members exchange daily gifts with each other.

  • Help members

Assist new members or answer questions in chat.

  • Complete challenges

Complete collective daily challenges defined by the leader.

Auto-kick for inactivity

Optional leader setting: members who go N days without contributing weekly XP can be automatically kicked at the end of the cycle. Useful for keeping the club active without the leader having to police manually. Can be disabled entirely from the club management tab.

How to find the right club

  • If you play casual: public club in your language with moderate activity. They won't demand anything from you.
  • If you want to compete: public master club or private invite-only club; they usually require a minimum weekly XP.
  • If you play with friends: create your own private club and share the invite code.
  • If you get bored: leave the club (with a 24h cooldown before joining another) and try a different one.

Tip: clubs are the best way to combine Plaza Mentium with a recurring team. Create a private club with 5–10 friends, keep a weekly war going against a similar club, and the rivalry stays alive month to month without having to coordinate match schedules.
