Mentium 2.0 “Einstein” is live: Clubs, Plaza, Senda and AI voices
Mentium hits its second major release: Clubs with wars and chat, Plaza Mentium async matches, Senda Mentium (rewards pass), live AI voices, full economic rebalance and the end of early access. Full breakdown.
Three weeks ago we published Mentium 1.0 “Curie” in early access. Today we take the next step: Mentium 2.0 “Einstein” is live on Google Play in stable production, with four major new systems, a full economic rebalance and the closure of the early-access window.
Why it’s called “Einstein”
Every major Mentium release is named after someone who pioneered something, alphabetically by surname. 1.0 was Curie. 2.0 goes to Albert Einstein — the physicist who rewrote how we understand space, time and energy. It felt like the right name for the release that rewrites a large chunk of the game economy and adds the social systems we were missing.
Next will be “Feynman”. After that: Galileo, Hypatia, Ibn al-Haytham… we already have the list. When the name changes, something big inside changes too.
What’s new in 2.0 “Einstein”
🏰 Clubs
The most-requested social system. Persistent teams with their own identity (banner + emblem), live chat between members and weekly wars against other clubs.
- Public (anyone can join) or private (with invite code or leader approval).
- Roles: leader, officers and members, with differentiated permissions.
- Each club accumulates weekly XP that decides wars.
- League divisions: Gold → Diamond → Master. You climb or drop based on your war record.
- Weekly collective missions that reward every member on completion.
Full guide: Clubs wiki.
🪧 Plaza Mentium
Turn-based async matches against friends or club members. You create the match, pick opponents, and each player answers when they can. Automatic push when it’s your turn. Supports 2v2 teams, saves full replays and has its own leaderboard, separate from real-time Online.
It’s the perfect mode when you have friends but you don’t catch them online. A long-running rivalry without the “right now” pressure.
🎟️ Senda Mentium
The rewards pass. 100+ levels, two parallel tracks:
- Free (everyone): coins, Mentis, lives, lifelines, cosmetics and chests at every level. Exclusive avatars, banners, frames and titles at the 5/10/25/50/75/100 milestones.
- Premium (€4.99 one-time, not recurring): extra rewards + exclusive cosmetics at every level milestone of 25.
It’s a non-consumable purchase: pay once, keep your pass progress forever. And the premium track is not pay-to-win — every gameplay unlock (categories, modes) lives in the free track; premium is visual identity + extra currency.
🔊 Live AI voices
Your rival, the Detective’s suspects and the Traveler’s local guides now speak out loud. Voices generated by Gemini TTS in real time, one per rival personality (Charon, Puck, Iapetus, Orus, Fenrir), natively multilingual, with local accents in Traveler — a Tahitian guide sounds Tahitian, a Japanese one sounds Japanese.
It’s opt-in (Settings → AI Voices). Off by default to avoid spending data without intent.
Economic rebalance (×10 to ×20)
This is the least flashy change but the most noticeable while playing:
- Coin entry costs → 0 for every premium mode. Now you pay with just 1 uniform life.
- Gem (Mentis) entry costs → 0 for the modes that demanded them (AI Battle LEGEND/EXTREME no longer cost Mentis to enter).
- Rewards scaled between ×10 and ×20 depending on mode. What used to give 50 coins now gives 500–1,000.
- Welcome pack: 50 → 1,000 coins + 25 Mentis.
- Missions: coin rewards ×10 daily, ×15 weekly/seasonal.
- Chests: coin amounts inside chests scaled ×10.
- Daily Wheel: coin slots ×10 (jackpot from 250 to 2,000).
- Achievements: coin figures ×10.
Existing players got an automatic ×10 wallet migration on update (one-shot). If you’re new, you’ll notice it’s a lot more accessible to hit meaningful economic milestones (Remove Ads 500 Mentis, premium cosmetics, etc.).
More detail: economy wiki.
End of early access
Mentium is no longer “early access”. It’s stable production. The Pioneer Pack you could earn during the early-access window is closed now — whoever unlocked it keeps it forever; whoever didn’t can no longer get it.
That doesn’t mean Mentium is “done”. We’ll keep iterating with real data, shipping patches (2.0.1, 2.0.2…) and, when the time comes, Mentium 3.0 “Feynman” with big new content.
Summary for newcomers
- 11 game modes: Classic, AI Category, Detective with free-form interrogation, Exam, Debate, Lightning, Traveler, Nexus, Local Duel, Online (real-time) and Plaza Mentium (async).
- 3 daily systems: Daily Challenge (20 questions, culturally anchored), Smart Review (free adaptive review), Daily Wheel.
- 10 languages with cultural anchoring: ES · EN · FR · RO · pt-BR · DE · IT · TR · PL · NL.
- Clubs with chat and wars, Plaza Mentium async, Senda Mentium (100+ level pass), AI voices, rival with persistent memory, adaptive daily coach.
- Free-to-play, no mandatory paywall. €4.99 one-time only if you want the Senda premium track.
Next steps
- Download the game and explore the new modes. The learning curve is gentle; in 30 minutes you’ve touched all three new systems.
- Join a club in your language or create a private one with friends. The social layer is what most differentiates Mentium 2.0 from 1.0.
- Tell us how it’s going at hello@kingislandstudio.com. Especially bugs, suggestions and things that aren’t clear: the economic rebalance is new and we want to keep tuning it with real data.
Thanks to everyone who played during early access. 2.0 “Einstein” is yours: it shipped much better thanks to every report, suggestion and match you played during those three weeks of Curie.
