Mentium 4.2 enters closed beta

Today we’re opening the closed beta of Mentium 4.2, the new release of the AI-powered trivia game we’ve been polishing for months. This version brings important improvements to the economy, AI modes, the in-game wiki and the chest system.

What’s new in 4.2

• 13 active modes, including conversational Detective with free-form interrogation, AI Exam, Debate and the classic online modes.
• 10 fully supported languages: Spanish, English, French, Romanian, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Italian, Turkish, Polish and Dutch (the last two new in 4.2).
• Daily Challenge expanded to 20 identical questions for every player in the world each day, with global ranking.
• AI with persistent rival memory — your personal rival remembers how often you’ve beaten them, the topics you’re strong in and where you slip.
• Rebalanced chest system — instant-open cost decreases over time, queue system for up to 4 simultaneous chests, drop tables published in the wiki.

How to join the closed beta

Email us at hello@kingislandstudio.com with the subject “I want to join the Mentium beta” and we’ll add you to the next batch. We’ll need:

• Your Google account (the one on the Android device you’ll play on).
• A device running Android 8.0 or higher.
• Availability to report bugs and give occasional feedback.

Open beta: coming very soon

After the closed phase we’ll open the public beta to every player who wants to take part. This phase will feature exclusive rewards inside the game — avatars, frames and titles obtainable only during the open beta, which will remain as a permanent badge on the profile of those who joined.

Near-term roadmap

• Google Play launch after wrapping the open beta and processing feedback.
• Socratic Mode and Conversational Debate in development for later versions.
• More categories based on what the community asks for.
